Beach/Waterfall tour:  $40

Approximately 4 hours – 1½ hours easy riding each way through seven beautiful sandy oceanside beaches and shady jungle trails with a good chance of sighting various types of wildlife. 

1 hour break for swimming in a fresh water swimming hole and a visit to one of the few ocean waterfalls in the world.  .  A tropical fruit snack and drinking water are included.

Las Delicias tour: $40

Approximately  4 hours – relaxing trip includes a river crossing, typical rural scenery, a stop at a country-side pub.  Fantastic views from ‘The Drop’ and ending with a coastline ride into town.

Spanish/English bilingual professional guide.

Recommended : long trousers, sturdy shoes (i.e trainers/runners/boots), hat, sunscreen.  Be sure to bring a bathing suit, too! 

We are the only fully licensed horse tour in Montezuma, and our horses have all been approved by the Animal Health government agency.

Marvin Uva - Owner/Guide

A native Costa Rican, Marvin has worked with horses, and other animals, since early childhood on the family farm and his horse-care experience has carried on from there, including years in Canada and the United States. 

He has been guiding horseback tours for eight years in Costa Rica, and has earned an excellent reputation locally, both with his knowledge and care of horses, and his ability to manage group tours safely while still ensuring enjoyable outings.

He specialises in helping people with no or little experience (also those who have had a previous bad experience), learn how to enjoy the ride and how to develop a partnership with the horse.  He is attentive to individual needs, no matter what level of rider you are.

His love and respect for horses is infectious, and part of what he brings to your tour, is not just the technicalities of riding, but the chance to begin to get to know and appreciate your horse and its’ individual character.
